International Women’s Day Social Ride
IWD 2021 campaign theme: #ChooseToChallenge
“A challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day.
We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.
From challenge comes change, so let’s all choose to challenge”. International Women’s Day 2021
International Women’s Day is on the 8th March 2021. To celebrate this day, DORC will be holding a women’s social ride at the Howard Springs Pine Forest. All women are welcome to come along and enjoy a relaxed and easy-paced meander through the trees. What nicer way to spend a few hours on a Sunday morning?
The meeting point for this ride will be at the old shed carpark on Howard Springs Rd on the right hand side at the bottom of the hill just before you go around the corner, almost opposite the the Howard Springs Reserve entry. Please arrive at 8:15am for an 8:30am start.
As part of our COVID-19 plan we are required to collect names and phone numbers of everyone participating in our events. These will be used for contact tracing in the unlikely event that an outbreak does occur. We also encourage everyone to download and install the COVID Safe app.
