Track Name: Charles Darwin National Park.
Access Points: Trails are accessed by two main locations. 1. Near the entrance gate, and 2. At the main picnic area. Good views of Darwin city are available from the picnic area.
Direction: Varied. Some single direction and some bi-directional. Please follow the signs
Difficulty: Moderate to Hard.
Surface: Hard packed (smooth & rocky) to very Rocky. Several muddy sections during wet season.
Description: Located in Charles Darwin National Park, the start point is just inside the main entrance. Track is a combination of 4WD tracks and technical singletrack consisting of switchbacks, logs, rocks, steps, short pinches. Some difficult technical sections.
There are a combination of hand-made tracks and trails have been built by contractors such as Dirt Art and Trailscapes.
There is also a Pump Track. Located on the main access Road, near the equipment storage shed.
Warnings:
- The main gate is only open between 8am and 7pm.
- The area is prone to mosquitoes and biting insects. The severity of the insects is dependent upon Darwin Harbour tide cycles. It is recommended that you take insect repellent. For more information, please check
