Social Ride AusCycling Membership Random Checks

Hi all, unfortunately it has come to our attention that we have had riders joining the social rides  without an AusCycling membership and because of our insurances all riders on our social rides must have either the free 4 week free trial or some level of AusCycling membership be it a Lifestyle membership or up to a Race all discipline. This means all riders attending social rides must have their membership handy at all social rides in case we do a membership check. We don’t want to bug everyone all the time and that’s why we have always made it the riders responsibility to ensure they have an up to date membership to join our rides but this has failed. The checks will be at any social ride but not all the time,  so we don’t bug you to much. We will check all riders at the ride we choose to do the check at and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The club is still working with AusCycling to get wavers for social rides back to make more people able to join our rides but because of insurances and other stuff this is taking longer than expected. We are sorry it has come to this but we have to make sure all riders are covered inline with AusCycling guide lines.
