2026 Old Pine Forest 1-2hr

25/02/2026 by Shirley Donnelly

Old Pine Forest race image

Give it a go! Saturday 28th March 2026 from 4pm

Ride some of the flattest but twistiest single track Darwin has to offer. One of DORC’s most popular events of the year, the Old Pine Forest 1-2hr. This year we have decided to give you two choices of time – do a Fast & Fun one hour or do a Fast & Furious two hour or you can just as easily roll around for one or two hours and cheer on the other riders.

If you haven’t raced with DORC yet, it’s a lot of fun. Do as many or as few laps as you wish – ride in pairs or go it alone. Our focus is on participation and fun. We welcome and encourage Veterans, their families and friends to come and have a go.

Race Categories

  • Male and Female
  • Grand Master Male and Female (60 years plus)
  • Single speed riders – Mixed
  • E Bikers – Mixed
  • Juniors – Under 16 Male and Female
  • Male Pairs
  • Female Pairs
  • Mixed Pairs Seniors (Adults) and Juniors (U16)

Collect your Race/ Recreational ride/”I’m just here for the BBQ” number plate from 3:20pm for a prompt 4:00pm start. Participants will be expected to self-seed at the start line with the Race Director managing. It will be a staggered start with those doing 2 hours pushing off at 4pm and those doing one hour, starting at 5pm.

Volunteers

We all know that many hands make light work and we would love some people, who aren’t racing, to jump in and give us a hand. Some of the jobs include setting up (from 2:30pm), registration, timing, cooking the bbq and packing up. Call or text Damien Loller on 0419 928 990 for more info.
