Charles Darwin NP 2hr

27/04/2026 by Shirley Donnelly

Charles Darwin National Park 2hr

MTB pilots – wanna come fly through our course?

You can choose either 1 or 2 Hours to coordinate as many “Liberator & Spitfire” raids as possible, before time is called for refreshments at One Mile.

One of DORC’s fiestiest events of the year is being held at Charles Darwin National Park on Saturday 23rd May. Race start/finish will be at the entrance car park, adjacent to the front gates. Plate collection 2.45pm, Rolling start at 3.30pm. Two hours to roll as many raids past the bombing shelters before time is called at 1hr 50mins for the last pass. Choose to do the one hour or push yourself and do the 2. For the safety of all entrants, the course requires participants to be an intermediate or above skilled level rider.

If you haven’t raced with DORC yet, it’s a lot of fun. Do as many or as few laps as you wish – ride in pairs or go it alone. Check out our race details page or ask some of our other members at a social ride to give you an idea what our events are about. Our focus is on participation and fun.

Race Categories

  • Male and Female
  • Grand Master Male and Female (60 years plus)
  • Single speed riders – Mixed
  • E Bikers – Mixed
  • Juniors – Under 16 Male and Female
  • Male Pairs
  • Female Pairs
  • Mixed Pairs Seniors (Adults) and Juniors (U16)

Collect your Race/Recreational ride number plate from 2.45pm for a prompt 3.30pm start. Participants will be expected to self-seed at the start line with the Race Director managing. The cut-off for last lap will be at the one hour 50 minute mark.

We encourage non-participants to come and support those racing in the event. The course is quite short, so it should be easy to get around to different areas for good viewpoints (and photo opportunities). Refreshments will be available at the Start/Finish line. Post-race, we are heading over to One Mile Brewery for well-earned refreshments – see you there!
