Charles Darwin 75km Challenge

Six laps of a roughly 12.5Km course made up of Charles Darwin’s finest single trail and surrounding fire roads.

When: Sunday 25  August
Plate Collection: 6.15 am
Race Start: 7.00am
8.00am (25 km riders)
Where: Charles Darwin National Park
Difficulty: Medium

Course Details

Race Control is at the Charles Darwin National Park Picnic Area

The course will follow the route of the recent Charles Darwin 3+3 (8km) loop.  An extra section will be added for a total of 12.5km per lap.

  • Solo,
  • Teams of two riders. Share the load and make a fun social day out on the bike.

Entry Fees

DORC / MTBA members: $5

NON-DORCMembers: $33 (Covers race entry + day license/MTBA insurance)

Regulations and Rules:

Riders should carry puncture repair kits, water, mobile phone(with first aid numbers) and food with them whilst riding. Helmet must be worn at all times whilst riding. It is also advisable to have gloves and eye protection as well.

At any time a competitor comes across a fellow rider needing assistance you shall render any assistance that is required.

Cut Off:

The race director reserves the right to close the course prior if it’s getting too hot, or other safety reasons.

If you choose to finish before completion or race cut-off, please notify race control.

6.15 Sign on and plate collection opens
6:45 Rider briefing
7:00 Race start 50km & 75km

7:45 Rider briefing
8:00 Race start 25km

BBQ will be running while the race is running. Drinks will be available.
