Every Saturday afternoon DORC host a social mountain bike ride in different locations around the Darwin area. The aim of these rides is to get all level riders together to enjoy our sport and trails in a friendly supportive environment. These rides can help familiarise you with our local trail networks. They are also a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people.
This Saturday 28th Sep ’19, DORC will host the social ride at the Pump House track in Charles Darwin National Park. This is a technical trail with some intermediate skill level features. As usual the DORC social ride is for all riders. With this in mind, there may be some features that the less skilled riders may need to walk. Don’t let this put you off. The Pump House Track is a great ride. This Saturday we will meet just inside the main gate at Charles Darwin National Park at 4:45pm for a 5:00pm start. From here we will make our way towards the Pump house via some of the intermediate trails in Charles Darwin. Charles Darwin is renowned for biting midges and other insects. Don’t forget to bring your bug spray or cover up.
Location | Charles Darwin Pump House Trail |
Meeting point | Main Gates at Charles Darwin NP |
Date | 28th Sep ’19 |

The ride will be at an easy pace and will be approx 1.5 hours in duration. There will be plenty of breaks along the way to regroup.

Hi Guys
After a passport mishap with my daughter we didn’t get on the expected flight to Lombok but will now be flying to Darwin Thursday evening !!!!
Would be keen to join the Saturday evening ride, could you suggest somewhere to hire all the kit I would need please.
Also have a keen, reasonably proficient 8 yr old, I am presuming it would be to much for him, is that right?
Thanks in advance
Tim
