Intermediate and Casual Social Rides at Charles Darwin NP Sat 18th March ’23

14/03/2023 by Tim Smith

Charles Darwin National Park  Pick Your Ride Intermediate or  Casual.

Every Saturday afternoon DORC host a social mountain bike ride in different locations around the Darwin area. The aim of these rides is to get all level riders together to enjoy our sport and trails in a friendly supportive environment. These rides can help familiarise you with our local trail networks. They are also a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people.

This week we are running two social rides at the same time. First Ride is an intermediate to fast paced ride with less stops. The second ride is a nice easy pace with plenty of stops to regroup and recover.  So come join us this Saturday 18th March 2023 at Charles Darwin National Park. For these rides we will be meeting just inside the main gates of Charles Darwin National Park. Please arrive at 4:45pm for a 5:00pm start.

It’s that time of year again and there could be showers or storms around on the day of the ride, if so please watch this post for cancellation details. We will make a decision no later than 4pm.

It is the responsibility of the rider to ensure that they have a current Auscycling Licence, this is to make sure we follow the Auscycling club and insurance requirements. If you are a non member and would like to join us you can follow the link and take advantage of the  AusCycling four week free trial membership (click here  for 4 week trial link ) or sign a recreational day waver on the day. Please see the ride leader for the waiver to sign or if you have any questions.

Please adhere to social distancing guide lines. If you are feeling unwell or displaying symptoms please stay home.

Charles Darwin NP is well known for it’s biting insects, please remember to cover up or use an insect repellant.
