New Pine Forest Pop Up BBQ
Every Saturday afternoon DORC host a social mountain bike ride in different locations around the Darwin area. The aim of these rides is to get all level riders together to enjoy our sport and trails in a friendly supportive environment. These rides can help familiarise you with our local trail networks. They are also a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people.
This Saturday 15th Apr 2023 the social ride will be at the New Pine Forest, Howard Springs. This will be a casual and laid back ride as we take in some of the Stow rd trail features and then move on to the new pine forest network before returning for a post ride bbq and refreshments.
The meeting point for this ride will be at the Stow Rd trail entrance on the corner of Stow rd and Howard Springs rd. Please arrive at 4:45pm for a 5:00pm start.
It is the responsibility of the rider to ensure that they have a current Auscycling Licence, this is to make sure we follow the Auscycling club and insurance requirements. If you are a non member and would like to join us just follow the link and take advantage of the AusCycling four week free trial membership. click here. There also the option to sign a recreational day waiver.
There will be a post ride bbq and refreshments available once we return to the carpark. RSVP is required for catering by 5pm Friday 10th Apr ’23. Contact Geoff 0427611702
It’s that time of year again and there could be storms around, so please watch this post for cancellation of the ride on the day. We will make the decision no later than 4pm.
