Social Ride from Stow Rd, 27 Nov ’21

Due to changes with AusCycling policy, DORC is no longer able to offer non members the option of signing an insurance waiver to join our weekly social rides. Therefore, you must be a member of AusCycling to participate. DORC apologises for any inconvience this may cause. Every Saturday afternoon DORC host a social mountain bike ride in different locations around the Darwin area. The aim of these rides is to get all level riders together to enjoy our sport and trails in a friendly supportive environment. These rides can help familiarise you with our local trail networks. They are also a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people.

This Saturday 27 November 2021 the social ride will be an EASY ride at the New Pine Forest, Howard Springs. The ride will Start at the STOW RD entrance. We will ride the Stow Rd trails and travel down to the new pine forest and do some exploring from there.

The meeting point for this ride will be at the Stow Rd entrance, Howard Springs.  Please arrive at 4:45pm for a 5:00pm start.

Post ride rehydration is a byo affair.

As part of our COVID-19 plan we are required to collect names and phone numbers of everyone participating in our events. These will be used for contact tracing in the unlikely event that an outbreak does occur.  We also encourage everyone to download and install the COVID Safe app.

Time 4:45 pm for a 5:00 pm start

The ride will be at an easy pace and will be approx 1.5 hours in duration.  There will be  plenty of breaks to regroup and catch your breath on the way around.

You will need a mtb in good working order, an Australian Standards helmet, enclosed footwear, gloves and a minimum or 2 litres of water will be required. Riders please be self-sufficient with water, spare tube, pump and tyre levers, etc.
