Spokes Trail Ride
Every Saturday afternoon DORC host a social mountain bike ride in different locations around the Darwin area. The aim of these rides is to get all level riders together to enjoy our sport and trails in a friendly supportive environment. These rides can help familiarise you with our local trail networks. They are also a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people.
This Sat 30th Sep ’23 DORC will be hosting a ride on the trails at the Old Pine Forest and Spokes trail (near Palmerston hospital) Howard Springs. So come join us as we leave from the Old Pine Forest, head around the back way to Spokes trail, do a lap of the Spokes trail, then back to our starting point. The meeting point for this ride will be at the entry to the Old Pine Forest on Howard Springs Road. Please arrive at 4:45pm for a 5:00pm start.
It is the responsibility of the rider to ensure that they have a current Auscycling Licence, this is to make sure we follow the Auscycling club and insurance requirements. If you are a non member and would like to join us just follow the link and take advantage of the AusCycling four week free trial membership ( click here. ) or you can sign a recreational day waiver. *ATTENTION ALL: We now can offer all non members the chance to sign a Recreational Day Waiver to join us on our social rides. If you would like to catch up after the ride, refreshments in the carpark will be BYO.

The ride will be at an easy pace and will be approx 1.5 hours in duration. There will be plenty of breaks to regroup and catch your breath on the way around.
You will need a mtb in good working order, an Australian standards helmet, enclosed footwear, gloves and a minimum or 2 litres of water will be required. Riders please be self-sufficient with water, spare tube, pump and tyre levers, etc.
