The Saturday afternoon the DORC social ride will be held at the old pine forest, Howard Springs.
Sat 20th Oct 18, 4:45 for a 5:00 pm start. Meeting at the entry point to the old pine forest, 300m past the intersection of Howard Springs Rd and Stow Rd, on the left hand side.
This ride is open to all riders, of all levels of skill. It is a fairly easy ride and will be aprrox 1.5 hrs in duration. There will be plenty of stops along the way to regroup. You will need a MTB in good working order, helmet, gloves, enclosed shoes, plenty of water and any spares you might require.
You do not need to be a DORC member; However, if you are not a DORC/MTBA member you will be riding at your own risk. Members are covered by MTBA insurance. Click to #beadorc
DORC Junior Social Ride
It’s on again this Sunday 21st Oct 18, the DORC junior social ride will be held at Charles Darwin National Park. The meeting point for this ride will be the bottom car park, just inside the front gates at 3:45 for 4:00 pm start.
The plan is to have some fun on the recently rebuilt pump track. If time permits, take a spin along the green trails.
The ride will go for approx 1.5 hours. You will need a MTB in good working order, helmet, gloves, enclosed shoes, plenty of water and if you are 10 years or under bring your parent/careers along for the ride.
Charles Darwin National Park is renowned for it’s biting midge problem. Therefore you will need to cover up or use some form of protection against these insects.
