Every Saturday afternoon DORC host a social mountain bike ride in different locations around the Darwin area. The aim of these rides is to get all level riders together to enjoy our sport and trails in a friendly supportive environment. These rides can help familiarise you with our local trail networks. They are also a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people.
This Saturday 14 Sep ’19, DORC will host the social ride at one of our old favourite trails, the Spokes Track in Palmerston. Thanks to some dedicated local trail faeries the Spokes Track is open for riding. This is a technical trail with some intermediate skill level features. As usual the DORC social ride is for all riders. With this in mind, there may be some features that the less skilled riders will need to walk. Don’t let this put you off. The Spokes Track is a great ride. Depending on time, the ride may take in some other less ridden features around Palmerston.
This Saturday we will meet under the water tower in Palmerston (near the Palmerston Tavern) at 4:45pm for a 5:00pm start. From here we will make our way towards the Palmerston Hospital and the start of the Spokes Track.
