DORC will be conducting a Super Single Speed Event on Saturday 13th September, in the New Pine Forest.
Dress up as your favourite Superhero (yes, capes are encouraged)
Expect fanfare, tunes and lap-by-lap frivolity. Prepare for an afternoon of one-gear madness – all in support of @ R U OK day! You don’t need a single speed to take part – as long as your bike is stuck in one gear, you are good to go! You can use an angle grinder, drill or a hammer to set that pesky derailleur in one position. Less harmful methods could include cable ties or gaffer tape on your shifters or just plain promise, cross-your-heart that you won’t change gears…
Please meet up in the Central Park area, near the start of The Church, in the New Pine Forest. You can even park there too. Come dressed for the occasion in your best Superhero kit or even just your normal boring riding kit. The event will start at 4.30pm Saturday 13 September 2025. Please arrive by 4pm for the riders brief, a laugh etc.
We welcome all from Toddlers on Trikes through to Golden Oldies pushing Golden Gears!
