This Saturday afternoon DORC will be holding the social ride at Charles Darwin National Park.
We will be meeting at the carpark inside the front gate at 4:45 pm for a 5:00 pm start on Saturday 19th Jan ’19.
All riders are invited and welcomed. The ride will be at a medium pace and there will be plenty of stops along the way to regroup. Duration will be approx 1.5 hours.
All you need is a MTB in good working order, helmet, gloves, enclosed shoes and any spares that you think you may require. A minimum of 2 litres of water is essential, as the weather is getting hotter.
You may need to cover up or take other forms of protection against the biting midges in Charles Darwin this time of year.
You do not need to be a member of DORC/MTBA to attend the social rides; However, you will be riding at your own risk. DORC/MTBA members are covered by personal injury insurance as one of the benefits of membership. To #beadorc click here.
DORC Junior Social Ride
Sunday 20th Jan ’19, 3:45 for a 4:00 pm start at the New Pine Forest at Howard Springs. Meeting point is the bottom car park at the old shed entrance. This is opposite the entry to the Howard Springs Reserve.
This week’s junior ride will be at the new pine forest All the junior DORC’s can get some singletrack time on these great trails. The ride will be at a moderate/easy pace and all juniors are welcome. This ride will go for approximately 1.5 hours.
You will need a bike in good working order, helmet, gloves, enclosed shoes and plenty of water. All riders 10 years of age and under, will need to be accompanied by a parent/carer.
You do not need to be a member of DORC to participate in these social rides; However, if you are not a member you are riding at your own risk. DORC/MTBA members are covered by injury insurance when riding. Click on the link to #beadorc.
