This is not a race. Helmets are essential, strong shoes, gloves and water are highly recommended.
Volunteers are always welcome,
Assistants with marshalling, course-markers, sausage sizzlers and photographers are always welcome to help DORC events run smoothly.

I am a member of dorc and was going to share this link, but I dont know if bikes are supplied or if you have to bring your own (kind of defeats the purpose of trying out mountain biking if you have a bike).
Same goes for helmets, who has a hemet without a bike (unless they borrow one)
A bit more information would be helpful

Sorry Anthony, DORC don’t have the resources to supply bikes and helmets.
Come and try days are generally aimed at those with a bike and helmet but just never had an opportunity to or know where to ride off road.
I hope that clarifies things for you.
Thanks
Paul
DORC MEMBER says
Hi Anthony,
If you are without bike or helmet but wish to take part in a DORC event, there are several bike stores in Darwin and Palmerston who support DORC and often have demo bikes available to try and buy. Don’t let not having a bike stop you and your friends coming down to have a look and enjoy our DORC events.
